Our Mahi

Menopause is all we do

Menodoctor is more than just a menopause clinic and worplace training service - we are on a mission to get the menopause message out to everyone.

Here is some of the Mahi we have been doing...

We conducted the largest ever survey on Menopause in Aotearoa

4,288 Kiwi women completed the 2023 Menodoctor NZ Menopause Survey.

The findings helped bring the menopause conversation to the forefront here in New Zealand.

The results were presented at the 2023 Australasian Menopause Society Conference, to NZ Ministers, as well as featuring in various news reports and on national TV.

We created the largest ever petition on HRT in Aotearoa

Signed by over 7,000 women, Menodoctor along with Émilie Joyal and Kiri Turketo presented a petition to Pharmac, asking for the funding of more options for the safest form of estrogen in HRT.

One month after the petition ended, Pharmac released a future procurement opportunity to start the funding process.

We submitted a Menopause Action plan to the NZ government

Menodoctor authored a report called ‘Menopause Matters’ in March 2023 on behalf of the Aotearoa NZ Menopause Collective.

This was submitted to the NZ Ministry of Health to inform the development of their first ever Women’s Health Strategy.

The report called for improved awareness and support for menopause within Healthcare, Employment and Education.
